LANSING – The chapel inside Lansing Catholic High School is getting more vibrant today courtesy of a Michigan stained-glass artist.

New Era’s Omnibus Studios began installing 10 new stained glass windows Tuesday inside the St. John Paul the Great Chapel. Dedicated and blessed this spring, the chapel’s new windows represent one of the final pieces of a project years in the making, said Tom Maloney, president of Lansing Catholic High School.

“It really creates a beautiful, sacred space with the ability to teach students about our faith,” he said.

Each of the nine windows along the northern wall of the chapel feature a different saint, including the chapel’s namesake, John Paul II. The depictions give student the opportunity to learn about the saints who walked the path of faith before them, Maloney said.
